See How Capcom Celebrated Ten Years Of Monster Hunter In Japan

By Ishaan . April 7, 2014 . 4:31pm

Capcom Europe recently visited Universal Studios Japan, and got to see the third “Monster Hunter the Real” event, which features large-scale, animatronic depictions of the creatures from various Monster Hunter games.

This year’s event celebrated ten years of the Monster Hunter franchise, with Monster Hunter-themed food, a gaming lounge and more. Also present at the event were animatronic creations of Wyvern couple Rathian and Rathalos. You can view a summary of the event in the video above.

The next Monster Hunter game from Capcom will be Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Japan will get the game sometime this Fall, while the West will see it in early 2015.

…And 25 years of Megaman and nothing.

Back to topic, I wonder until when the area is available. My wife and I are planning to go to Universal Studios Osaka this August. Might check it out.

“early 2015″… I thought our release window was September 2015, and that is not early 2015 (not that I am complaining, we are getting it at all and that is good enough for me)

Can’t help it though, the franchise did suffer from low sales. But it’s still one of their most recognizable character, so they could have at least made a decent 25th anniversary offering for him (other than merchandises).
