  • RawrWata

Look at all those awesome games EU PSN doesn’t have.

    • otakumike

time to create a US account.

  • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

That is really nice of them. I hope they make this a tradition :)

    • PringlesXD

They really should! It’d be great to have a sale of Japanese games at least once a year.

    • http://linkapics.tumblr.com/ Linka

I think they actually did this last year, too! So yeah, it’s a little bit of a tradition, now, it feels like.

      I sure have no complaints.

    • ishyg

      My wallet…it’s…it’s…T_T

      • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

I know it is too much greatness…we all need raises ^_^

        • ishyg

Pretty much. It’s kind of unfair that I don’t get bonuses like a Japanese employee should (given that I’m not Japanese). They just got their Golden Week bonus or something here in our company. Could’ve gone for a game shopping binge if I was given one too.

  • Manny Being Manny

Just a couple things, Hot Shots Golf is the PS3 version, not Vita. And Neptunia Victory is PS3.

    • pimpalicious

Since Vita version isn’t on sale I wonder if NA is also looking to get it free soon(like in June since May was announced already).

  • https://twitter.com/Axl4002 Axl4002

Ys is actually 19.59, not 9.59.

    • http://linkapics.tumblr.com/ Linka

      Is it? Darnit!

    • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

      dang it

      • https://twitter.com/Axl4002 Axl4002

Yes, but on the blog, it says that the PS Plus price will be 19.59. That’s what I meant :) It says 9.59 here for PS Plus price.

  • Keko

I’ve been waiting 8 months for Atelier Totori/Meruru to go on sale! It’s happening!

    • pimpalicious

I definitely think they’re worth that much. I paid full price for them on PS3 and Vita.

  • Sean ‘Geg’ Reddie

It’s saddening to see US’s Plus discounts being hefty compared to EU’s… The most we usually get is like £1 off lol.

    • Guest

God your making me depressed. I’m moving to the UK next year from the states. As a gamer that worries me, Europe seem to get worst deals. :(

      • EtroAnime

You can still keep your US PS + account when you go overseas, that is what I did.

      • Yan Zhao

You guys in Europe get better free games off PS+ than us so its a trade off i guess.

    • NicheHero

if I recall correctly, EU PS had a discount on atelier totori/meruru earlier than the US PS (when it first came out)

      • MyBodyIsReady

We did, but they were like £20, on sale. Hardly fair, it’s not like $20 is equivalent to £20. According to google $20 is just £11.90

        • NicheHero

well, i’d rather take $10 off then, than $20 a year later. just saying haha.

    • neocatzon

Look at ASIA’s plus discounts, wait when was the last time we have one? No wonder some ditch their region.

      • dboyz

        I’m one of them =)

        • neocatzon

Me two, I love my NA account~

      • gretan

        i know right….

    • SMT

Though there’s the Easter sale, which I only knew about yesterday (ends tomorrow), was beyond cheap. I bought Tales of Xillia and Ni No Kuni out of impulse, 14.99 and 6.99 euros respectively, not including an additional 10% discount from PS Plus.

  • Brandonmkii

Ugh, those atelier games are so tempting. Still waiting for New Rorona so I can play them in order.

  • http://linkapics.tumblr.com/ Linka

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is by far the best deal on the list, especially for a PS Plus subscriber. Two games for $10? Absolutely amazing.

Ys is a good runner-up though. $9.59 for the game? Dang. Let’s just say I have a lot to consider at the moment. I hope Gamestop manages to get up a direct code for the game I was /going/ to get tomorrow when it came out, to make my choices a lot easier.

Edit: Wait, apparently Ys isn’t 9.59. Darnit!

    • otakumike

Muramasa looks like a good deal at that price. I’ll finally pick it up now.

      • http://danierc-polloconpapas.tumblr.com/ Eduardo Rocha

Wasn’t that game supposed to be free on May for PS+ in America? If so, you may want to wait for that.

        • Michael Richardson

Nope. Europe only, as far as I’m aware.

      • http://linkapics.tumblr.com/ Linka

Muramasa is an excellent game, so I hope you very much enjoy it! Especially for $7.49? Amazing!

I hope you enjoy the game.

        • Hector Velar

Amen to that, I’m first in line getting Murasama for 7$!!! hecks yeah!

  • andref

April, the month my wallet cried tears of joy. Hooray for the 1$ sale and hooray for golden week. Time to pick up symphonia

  • DesmaX

ALL YO YENS YIP YIP YEP

Maybe I’ll pick up MGS Collection, even though I already brough PW HD separately

  • Alex Sargeant

Armoured Core Verdict Day is $5 with a plus sub. That is barely even money.

    • MrTyrant

      *crying*

      I’m not a plus member.

    • pimpalicious

I’m still not sure it’s worth it for me with multiplayer being almost mandatory. No one I know plays AC.

      • neocatzon

Consider that you can create your own teammate to tackle SP here in VD unlike ACV. The UNAC is pretty much a better formula front.

  • z_merquise

Devil May Cry HD Collection for me. This is the perfect oppotunity to re-experience those games.

    • pimpalicious

I’m thinking about getting that myself.

  • Earthjolly

Are you Fucking kididng me I just bought Tales of symphonia for $20 yesterday

    • ARMs7777

where you get it for 20 bucks? I would buy a physical copy of the game over the digital for that price.

      • Earthjolly

Nah it was the digital I bought

      • disgaea36

he meant just symphonia each game separately is 20 bucks this deal is for both

  • MrTyrant

Holy shit! Armored Core V and Tales of Symphonia Chronicles.

  • pimpalicious

Wow did Tales of Symphonia tank in sales? 75% off already.

    • 하세요

Even though Tales is primarily a Sony console game, most of the popularity were folks with Nintendo from the original ones. I think sales were around 100k for US and 50k for EU (from some Google searching).

More recent titles in the Tales series, especially the gameplay, just make Symphonia feel outdated.

  • Brimfyre

Buying games has become like playing the stock market.

    • Arrngrim

No kidding, day one supporters get the shaft. :) Especially if you like digital d/l, still gets me they charge full price on a digital copy, no material cost so why not shave off a few bucks? o.O

      • Zimmer Remmiz

That would be because stores would get pissy and potentially stop carrying games in stores…

        • Arrngrim

Fine with me, can’t remember the last time I walked into a Lamestop to buy a game…especially since they never carry what I want anyway…let them die out.

          • http://danierc-polloconpapas.tumblr.com/ Eduardo Rocha

It isn’t fine by the companies. Not all people like digital purchase so there would be certainly a lost.

      • Aqua King

I feel like I shouldn’t have purchased Tales of Symphonia at full price… $10 is ridiculous.

        • Federico

yeah i’m with you, i haven’t even gotten a chance to play it yet >_>

        • Judgephoenix

lol True luckily I got the Collectors Edition XD. So I don’t feel too bad

          • http://danierc-polloconpapas.tumblr.com/ Eduardo Rocha

Yeah, I got the collectors edition so I don’t mind it that much either :3

  • BigBearMonte

Man I never get Why does Dj max game for the vita never go on sale. Its always 50 bucks. But I love these sales.

  • bVork

I’m pondering whether to get Ys: Memories of Celceta in this sale or to just buy the extremely tempting limited edition for $60. How good are the extras, particularly the artbook and the soundtrack CDs? Are they worth a $40 premium?

    • pimpalicious

The artbook is OK, it’s not very high quality and is more of a mini strategy guide. The soundtrack is excellent if you like Falcom/Ys music it’s 4 discs and a lot of songs.

      • Pyrotek85

Yeah it’s worth the price for the music IMO. If it’s art you want though, Udon recently released the Ys: The Art Book.

        http://www.amazon.com/Ys-Book-Nihon-Falcom-Corporation/dp/1927925010

        • bVork

Thanks for linking that artbook! I didn’t know about it, and that’s much more in line with what I want than the glorified strategy guide that pimpalicious says the pack-in book is. I guess I’ll go digital with Ys, then – Falcom is great at putting out their music on itunes, so I can just grab the soundtrack that way.

          • Pyrotek85

It’s a hefty book too for the price, 280 pages. You’re gonna like it I think.

          • pimpalicious

I don’t have the Ys one yet but have some other Udon artbooks and they are all very well done.

          • Pyrotek85

Oh yeah it’s excellent, if you’re a fan of the series you should really get it. It covers pretty much all games in the series. I don’t have many Udon books yet myself, but I’ve been pleased with them all so far.

          • pimpalicious

I probably will get it, and I see there is a Breath of Fire one coming out. Might get that also.

  • Surgeon of Death

AND I HAS NO MONEY T_T

  • The Watcher

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles for $10.00?!

    • Kango234

I actually screamed out when I saw that, guess I have no excuse not to start the Tales series.

  • Michael Richardson

WOW. Muramasa for under $8? SOLD.

  • Christopher C

Just saying, but Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is for the PS3.

  • Koulamatata

Bought Muramasa like a week ago. I didn’t take my own advice when I said it would probably be on sale within a a few weeks and to just wait on it.
Oh well. Fun game, so it was still worth it. Could have been more worth it though!

    • Christopher C

You know that was just a port basically? I played the original like half a decade ago at least. Man, I feel so old now…

  • Christopher C

I looked at the sale dates… I’m getting the BL2 vita bundle and that comes out 1 DAY AFTER THE SALE ENDS *RAGES*

  • TheExile285

Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers for me. Maybe ToSC too. Maybe…

  • Thelastgunstar

Woah…woah…woah…first off… Why is Hyper Dimension Neptunia V listed for Vita? Second, TOS Chronicles for…ten bucks?! Man, I really regret buying it for full price now…Third…Must…have…Ys… ten dollars…oh yeah!

    • Dinoegg96

Bad news, Ys real price is $19.59… Yeah, I was very excited xD

      • Pyrotek85

I thought that seemed a little low since it’s still rather new.

        • pimpalicious

Symphonia Chronicles is really $10 though, great deal for those who want it and don’t have it.

  • Zoozbuh

Might actually switch over to my US PSN account and grab ‘Time and Eternity’ for that price (I know most people say it’s awful, but I feel like it’s SO heavily anime-influenced, and by one of my fav developers, that I should give it a try at some point)

    • http://twitter.com/#!/kaishou Kaishou

      $9.99/13.99 is still too expensive.

    • pimpalicious

Might as well go for it, at $10 it’s barely more than a rental and probably won’t drop more than that. Imageepoch has been hit and miss for me, I liked the Luminous Arc games(too bad the 3rd was never localized) and Arc Rise Fantasia(shitty voice acting but not their fault) but didn’t like Black Rock Shooter or Fate/Extra.

  • Kornelious

Wow, this is the coolest Sale on the PSN! :D It’s perfect for me lol.

  • shadowind

If they don’t do this in Europe, I’m going to be seriously fucking pissed off!

  • Zer0faith
  • Kayriss Wins

Aww man I was gonna get Muramasa with my new PSV Slim bundle I preordered but the bundle doesn’t drop ’till May 6th! I wonder, could someone tell me If it’s possible If I can just purchase the game on my PS3 then link my account to my Vita once I receive it then download it?

PS. Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (PSV) ? I think that’s suppose to be PS3 unless I missed that port notice O_o

    • X_Bacon

Yes, it’s possible. You’ll just have to use the same account on both, as I assume you were going to.

      • Kayriss Wins

Phew, that’s a relief, thanks for clearing that up for me :)

        • Guest

To make it even smoother, buy it online through your PC, then wait until your Vita arrives so you can link it and then assign Muramasa to your Vita’s download list.

  • https://twitter.com/Panda_castro Panda

Is Armored Core: Verdict Day good? Never play those games before.

  • DragKudo

    Greatest birthday present. YAY!!! XD

  • Prinny Dood

Wow so does that mean hyperdeminson Victory on the vita psn tommorow dood!? Or is that a mistake? Anywho im muramasa( although i rather have it for free like euro prinny bros) atelier ah who am i kidding dood! Ill take em all.

  • shadowind

Is there anywhere that sells 1 month US PS Plus membership codes online as Amazon only sell 1 year and 3 month ones.

    • putridur_08

You can buy it for $ 9.99 on ps store

  • D. Collins

    Wow Soul Calibur $9.99 wow!!

  • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

For those wondering about Hyperdimension Neptunia, it’s the PS3 version. The post here is incorrect. Here’s the link to the official Playstation Blog post: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/04/28/golden-week-sale-celebrates-japanese-games-2/ ~.

  • E.T.993

Dragon Ball Z:Battle Of Z at 15-10$.NO THANK YOU. Aside from that, great sales.

    • Keiji Johnson

Why not Dragon Ball: Battle of Z? At 10-15$, it seems like a good deal. At least to me, since I only seen trailers of the game.

      • Kari

Right and the game is only just a few months old

      • pimpalicious

You should try the demo, I think it’s probably worth the sale price. But the $60 they were asking for the PS3 version at launch was definitely too much.

    • pimpalicious

From the demo I think it’s worth that, not sure if I’ll bite though because of other stuff. And Raiden IV Overkill is out today.

  • Roberto

    tfw no money

  • Kari

Actually i’ve been waiting for Muramasa Rebirth (PSV) to be reduce even though i have the wii version
. since Europe is getting it free with PSn . this seems like a better deal overall.

  • SeventhEvening

Well, I’m definitely in for Tales and ZOE. I’ll need to check Revengeance’s space requirements before I leap in on it. I’ll probably also get Meruru. I was waiting for a sale since I’m actually still working on Totori.

Is Ayesha any good? I heard there was no Japanese voiceover and the art looks so much gloomier than the Arland series. I ended up skipping it and getting the Korean version of Logy instead. I’m wondering if I should just wait for the Vita version instead.

    • pimpalicious

Ayesha is my favorite Atelier game next to Totori so far. I haven’t played Escha and Logy yet. That’s up to you on the voices but only english didn’t bother me much, I thought it’s dub was better than the Arland games.

    • MrTyrant

Escha and Logy had dual voice but Ayesha didn’t if anything the portable will have it in the future. However Ayesha could be considered one of the best and the gloomier look ended up being better. The overall story is good, similar slice but you can relate with Ayesha objetives better as there is an actual plot and the other party members are really great.

  • Hachio

sony japan is so cheap they wont even give the japanese any sales for golden week but north americans get them. lol

  • Tiredman

Don’t have ps+, don’t care about the majority of the free games that have been offered over the last year. Since the prices are so drastically different between ps+ and non ps+, I won’t be getting any of the games listed as the non ps+ price is still too high for me to buy them digitally.

The games I would of gotten…. Atelier Ayesha, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Devil May Cry, Revengeance, Saint Seiya, and Zone of the Enders.

    Oh well.

  • Julio D. Zulkarnain

Need a suggestion. I have to choose between Ys or one of the atelier vita games, which one should i get? And I never played any of them, do I have to play their previous entry to be able to enjoy any of these game? Thanks!

  • ThatDamnCanadian

Now that is a good price for Muramasa

  • Byron Kerrison II

This is exactly what I’m talking about. Just bought Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance at full price last week or so.

    Good Game Sony.

  • Distant_arcana

What time does the sale start I’ve been watching it like a hawk and it hasn’t started yet.
And also this list has a lot of gems I’ll Be picking up tales, Zoe, muramasa, and I wanna try a new series any suggestions? I already have mgs and p4g, Like what’ll get me addicted?

    • pimpalicious

Sometime this evening whenever the store updates. If you haven’t played Atelier, Tales, or Ys you might like those, and the DMC HD collection is great. Oh yeah and ZOE2 is awesome.

  • Cybro

So ToS + 1 month plus for the same price as ToS for regulars?
Just the kind of immediate incentive I’d been looking for to give plus a go.

  • Nu Blitz

my oh my totori and meruru for vita. ive always wanted to get those two for a lower price

  • Kamakuma

I get paid on the 2nd… Welp wallet ol pal you might be a little lighter after this… Forgive me. t–t

  • QUINTISON

Wish sony would support powered external hdd 3-4 TB should do both ps3 @ ps 4 need this…full digital installs of retail games or psn digital games external hdd they burn the most space disc installs, dlc and other light duty content internal hdd and for those whonever use retail chips on vita a chip adapter which can hold 4-5 vita memory cards + the regular memory card slot.

The adapter should also be able to function as thrustmaster’s 3-1 dual trigger fully remapable and saveable fully overideable control scheme does with onboard flash memory to save your control scheme.

Fixes 2 problems 1-eliminates memory card swaping and 2-gives dual analog games the ability to be tailered best by you and works on all games except it won’t undo touch controlls just allow you to move everything around including what touch function goes where like borderlands 2 vita but for everything.
