    love this game

  • Land of Green Pasture

same release date with SSD? my wallet and my mmc gonna cry so baaaaaaaaad~~~

  • Alex Sargeant

Oh jesus! I was not expecting it so early. Barely 12 days away.

Might not even have beaten the demo by then.

    • darke

Ignore the people saying they put a hundred hours into it; you can easily finish the demo within two. I finished the Japanese demo in about 5 and most of that was with my head in my JP->EN dictionary. :|

  • Uvers

i already gots it, imported a physical copy, came a few days after release in the states, but have not played it cause of end of year assignments, next one to get is Mind-zero

  • Buitronthecrazy .

    >game with high sexual undertones, europe is getting it
    >still not SMT 4 for europe

    • Go contact nintendo of europe and ask them what is going on?

      • Sean ‘Geg’ Reddie

Annnnd you think they’d actually reply and tell us?

        • nope :D however you’re better off whining directly to the publisher rather than people who report of gaming news

          • Sean ‘Geg’ Reddie

I do agree, every Atlus article has this on. :L
But Nintendo will never reply with anything but “we have no info on this release sorry lol”

    • Shippoyasha

I kind of thought the sexual overtones in Conception series was a little overblown. It’s just one cutesy scene after another in actuality. There are economic reasons studios won’t disclose when it comes down to not releasing ports it seems .

I am just happy European players gets this game relatively quickly instead of waiting a year.

      • Crazy_O

European 3DS owners. As a Vita player I’m buying it where it is released first, usually in NA. Not this game, because of reasons I don’t want to further comment on, but something like Demon Gaze as an example.

    • nonscpo

I wouldn’t freak out over the fan-service in this game as its virtually non existent…ALL THEY EVER DO IS HOLD HANDS!…lots of suggestive references in the conversations though.

  • Nix da

Man fucks this shit give me SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI ATLUS !

  • X_Bacon

    Congratulations on your new arrival~

  • James Williams

Nah sorry guys i’ll be importing, which is adding to the issue of games not selling over here still due to sales, but im not buying digital.

  • Here’s to a successful delivery.

  • Alestaos

And ofcourse this means i need to import the physical
Edition from NA. Its great there bringing it to us but it would be nice if we could go to there website to pay a bit extra for them to put it on a physical. I live in a not great broadband area so i do feel for those without broadband. On a side note does anyone know if EU dlc would work on the game. Im talking about the vita version.

    • michel

If you import from North America, I’m afraid that you’ll have to use an American PSN account to get the (American) DLC on your Vita.

      • Alestaos

Ah that sucks since i have no NA address or friends address. Guess ill have to miss it.

  • wahyudil

    playing for 100 hrs in 3DS ….

  • E.T.993

I feel bad for europeans, getting this instead of SMTIV. While this is a good dungeon crawler, it’s nothing compared to SMTIV. I hope you’ll finally get it, you guys.

    • CrazedSlayer

Our tears must be delicious :P

      • E.T.993

Tears aren’t delicious. They taste WAY TOO SALTY. *bum bum tss*

    • darke

Honestly I prefer Conception. It’s got a light hearted story that doesn’t take itself seriously in comparison to SMT which seemed overwrought.

I really don’t understand the Persona fanaticism (but I never understood the Final Fantasy fanatics either; the games were very hit and miss).

      • 65daysofstatic

While I agree that the story in SMT IV took itself slightly too seriously, I disagree that it was overwrought. SMT titles in general typically have minimalist plot, not ones which I would consider excessive or ornate.

If you were referring to the Persona series more specifically, then I agree only slightly in your comment. Most of the Persona games are differentiated from other SMT titles in that their stories are infused with slightly more melodrama and characterization.

On these points, I would argue that most of the characterization and melodrama in Conception II is more overwrought. But this is simply my opinion.

        • darke

Possibly. I haven’t actually played the full game of Conception II yet, I’ve just the demo. I’ve been spoiled a bit due to the moronic US/EU release date split that I know the storyline does seem to have the occasional facepalm moments, but at least in the demo it feels like it doesn’t take itself seriously enough that it doesn’t feel like it’s going to break my suspension of disbelief. :)

  • Demeanor

Already playing it despite living in eu thnx to my main vita account wisely being us :D
Tho I must say, atm my soul is firmly gripped by Demon Gaze, that game is amazing and is already way beyond all my expectations.
    Chloe for waifu btw. :P

  • Zoozbuh

So conflicted on buying this… On one hand it’s published by Atlus (and pretty much all their games are decent) and it’s a quirky JRPG with dating-sim elements (right up my street).
BUT I played the 3DS demo from the eShop and it was… kinda disappointing. Maybe because you were just dumped into the story with no proper context, but the dungeon battles also seemed super repetitive.
Maybe I should wait for it to go on sale? Does anyone who played the full game have any comments xD

    • darke

As far as I can tell (not having a 3DS), the English Vita demo was the second Japanese demo released, which starts you from the start; and the 3DS demo was the first Japanese vita demo released. Which started you at level 10, mid-story and actually seemed to be based on a relatively old version of the game since mana costs for spells and such were different to the second demo.

So for a demo, I’m not actually sure how much it reflects the real game. :(

Does the 3DS demo even have an animated intro movie?

      • Zoozbuh

Ahhh I see. That explains why there are two different demos, I guess. They needed a lower filesize for the eShop one (I assume) so they went with the crappier version.

Nope, no animated video… a few voiced scenes in the face-to-face dialogue parts, but that was about it.

        • darke

Yeah, that sounds like the first JP demo. It had a different selection of girls to the second one (the black-and-white haired girl was in the first, and not the second one from memory).

I’m surprised that they actually translated the first one as well, since at least they could reuse the translation of the second demo for the game, but the first demo felt like it was a bit too old andnd it wouldn’t surprise me if they had changed dialogue and flow in the mean time (they had certainly changed mechanical stats of the game).

But as you said, I guess they just needed a smaller demo for the 3DS.

    • 65daysofstatic

Having purchased and played about 10 hours of the game, I can confirm that Conception II is slightly disappointing.

I’d recommend to you only if you’re pressed for a dating-sim that does dungeon crawling adequately but in an unspectacular manner.

      • Zoozbuh

Ahhh… I was afraid of that, but I can’t say I’m massively surprised. I do like that they took a chance on the series, but there’s other games I would rather buy at full price. I’ll definitely pick this up when it goes on sale though, whenever that may be.

        • 65daysofstatic

You may very well enjoy it in the end; just make sure to temper your expectations and, as you’ve mentioned, pick it up on sale.

    • nonscpo

Having played the 3DS demo and the retail Vita game I can honestly write, that if you own a vita get that version as it looks feels and plays better.

      • Zoozbuh

Unfortunately I don’t own a Vita yet. (Considering getting one ever since Tales of Hearts got confirmed for an English release though). I would probably get this on Vita if I did, since it seems like the better version.

  • Just wished this game would keep the Japanese voices… oh well
