It’s not only a great street fighter film it’s a great martial arts film!

    Watch it!

    • God

Believe this man, my expectations were extremely low, with how slow-paced street fighter has become, and how live-action adaptations of games tend to go, but this… This was awesome!

  • neogeno

    That! Ladies and Gentlemen…

    was Awesome! Bravo!

  • Altin

    All of it!

Edit: Finished watching all Episodes for now. Big shoutout to the creators for making a very decent SF Movie and giving us possibly the most sexiest Ken Masters ever.

    • Mopz

And the Ryu actor wasn’t bad as well… Such nicely caught casting.

      • Altin

Yes, I thought that each actor did a great job in that movie, especially old Gouken. The amount of detail that they put in the scenes and costumes was very satisfying as well.

  • Seizui

…I wonder if it’s my video footage, or do these guys love making use of slow motion like it’s going out of style. e_e

  • Suicunesol

Is this considered a fan film? Did Capcom sanction this?

    It’s not bad.

    • God

Capcom did give them the Ok if that’s what you mean, but they did not have any involvement in the making.

  • Kaitsu

The Ono cameo was hilarious. I watched it all and loved it. I recommend everyone to give it a shot.

    • Suicunesol

      I thought I recognized him!

  • BlueTree

It’s not bad. Though I’m still agast at the fact that an art that translates to “Assassin’s Fist” is somehow shocking characters when they find out it’s for killing. It’s in the name.

  • Suicunesol

Oh come on. That’s it? I thought the end would at least show Gouken and Akuma in a battle. I guess this means we’ll get a sequel?

I’m still not sure about Ryu’s actor. He played his part well, but he needs more muscle to look the part.

    • Altin

According to Wikipedia, there will be an Uncut Release on DVD and Blu-Ray which will be considerably longer than the webisodes.
“Afterwards, it will be released as an edited 105-minute TV movie for syndicated television, and finally as the full 2+ hour uncut feature film as it was originally shot for release on DVD/Blu-ray.” However, it does not say whether the uncut version will add new scenes that we did not see yet.

Ansah also mentioned that if AF is successful, he will tackle the Story of SF II and add Guile and Chun-Li to the roster ^^

      • Suicunesol

“tackle the story of SF II…”

Haha, now there’s a real test. I think Assassin’s Fist was convincing because of how down-to-earth it was, and the costumes and characters were not exaggerated, yet still believable.

But Chun-Li has an outfit that is, in my opinion, kind of ridiculous-looking (considering she’s Interpol). And the whole lightning kick thing might look ridiculous. Also, maybe I just have a warped perception of Bison’s character because of the whole “YES” meme, but I think Bison looks ridiculous too. With his whole evil empire Shadaloo. That’s just plain campy.

        • Altin

Of course, but I think that it might still look decent, considering the thought of how well they were able to make Akuma look like his game counterpart (granted, the hair looked funny). As for Chun-Li, there are several ways to make it look “acceptable” or they will use a different camera angle just like they did for Tatsumaki.

I know where you are coming from with Bison – I have the same thought of Sagat asking a kidnapped child whether he likes some Cornflakes :D

it was really entertaining hoping for a season 2

  • videoman190

I would be great if Capcom makes it part of the game’s canon.

  • MrJechgo

I liked this better than Mortal Kombat: Legacy

  • Sentsuizan_93

This was awesome. That Ono cameo, the Megaman 2 tribute, it put a big smile on my face. Very well done.
