Mighty No. 9 Has New Work-In-Progress Gameplay Footage

Comcept and Inti Creates have shared new work-in-progress footage from Mighty No. 9, featuring the Mighty No. 2 and Mighty No. 5 stages, as well as a glimpse of boss fights. You can view this below.



Comcept are also taking votes for the naming and colour scheme of the game’s support character. You can find details on this here.


Mighty No. 9 is in development for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

    Wow the music definitely has a X-vibe for me when I listen to it and I’m loving the gameplay! I notice the points that Beck racks up when he dashes through the enemies… so doing light damages on them allows Beck to take them out with a dash attack and can chain it together in a row and the less damage you do on an enemy and then dash through them gives more points it seems (100 being the maxed) and doing more damage results in less points earned from dashing through a weaken foe.

    I also noticed one other thing… Beck can’t wall jump? I know he can hang on edges but no wall jumping? Hmm that’s quite the problem for me who loves to wall jump. Oh well no biggie.

    I hope we get a demo of this game soon enough!

    Looks alright, but everything is so freaking dark, I can hardly see anything. They need to brighten up the visuals, make it more colorful or something.

    Still a little disappointed that they didn’t choose to do sprite work, but I suppose they can keep improving.

      Doesn’t Mighty No.9 run on the Unreal Engine? With the exception of Guilty Gear Xrd, I honestly cant understand why developers still use it. A number of the games I played that use the Unreal Engine tends to load slow, have pop-ups and the colors tend to be lacking. Hopefully the final product will look and play well when its released.

    Seems fun. The dash seems a little OP, and since this was only 1 minute of footage I’m surely wrong.

    I wish the game has an interesting story. I don’t want the classical evil doctor that builds/robs 8 robots and that’s it. then you beat him and of course you don’t capture him so we have 8 more games with the same non existent story. Gameplay+ a good story is always nice

    Pretty good so far, except the forced usage of dash on every enemy. Finishing them for better exp. or any similar reason seems restrictive. Like he is using Nova Strike every second.

    ahh i spy invincibility frames on that dash at 00:18 either that or he went under the bullet. This looks fun :P
