Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight that shows off actual gameplay footage from the title, and also shows Batman making use of the Batmobile.

Batman: Arkham Knight will allow you to drive the Batmobile around the streets of Gotham, and you’ll be able to use it both as a transport system, as a combat vehicle, and to get yourself out of tight spots if you find yourself outnumbered by thugs.

Batman: Arkham Knight is in development for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game will be released in 2015.

Oh, so it was supposed to glitch out there. I guess it’s just for the Scarecrow effect who if I might add is looking especially creepy this time around :P

    This looks pretty damn fun.

  • Abel_Nightroad

Very nice. But is it running on a PS4 or a Nasa PC ?

People went nuts for this in the theater. I, myself was very impressed with how smooth everything was.

Damn. A theater experience watching a great game trailer should be a lot of fun. I hope some movie theaters air some game trailers from E3. They’ve been doing that the past few years.

It was! When Batman jumped down to glide for the first time and you could see the scale of the city, how good an smooth everything looked, people went nuts. Especially when he jumped out of the batmobile. Very impressive stuff.

… well it runs on in game engine. Real time. the previous trailer wasnt all pre render. legit thats how it looks and plays. the majority of next gen games push out content in real time

Sweeet. I do like how huge Gotham is, though it kiiinda seems like you just summon the car in order to fight car-specific enemies? I wonder if using the car will be superior in some aspects to just bat-gliding around, kinda feels like that’s still the faster way to travel?

    • goa ahsd

no. batmobile is there 24/7. like the horse in rdr

Ah, I suppose I should have clarified. I know you can summon the car at any time, I was simply wondering if you’re really going to WANT to use it for anything but enemy tanks that can only be fought with the Batmobiles guns. It seems like zip-gliding around would be somewhat speedier and offer a better overview of the environments.
