Thank You Based Shenron! I just picked up the collection last week and the boudokai series is easily the best, I hope this is a continuation of all the things that made that series great.

  • subsamuel01

Team behind the Budokai games? Thank God!

  • Vash bane

that name…I guessing we are going to see characters from all kinds of worlds….ssj4 might also be in this since GT can be considered another universe.

  • ronin4life

I still don’t see why people are calling this “Next Gen” when it is on PS360 too.
That sounds like a last gen/Cross gen game to me.

    • Nanaki

Probably due to the fact that it’s the first Dragon Ball to be released during this gen’s lifespan. It may not be exclusive to this gen, but it’s not far off.

Just be a good game please. I know we won’t get a real DBZ game, I know we’ll still have every hand to hand exchange being random flurries without real combos, I know we’ll still have random impacting small ki blast button despite neither of those being things that happen or happen often in the series but at least be good as far as a game goes.

These visuals look promising just please make transformation scenes look cool and not glitched out scenes, please make transformations actually feel powerful like the Storm games or something lesser. Make this good and not crap like we’ve gotten for years.

With the Xenoverse thing I wonder if this game’ll play off the Battle of Gods other universes plot point.

The battle looks like Tenkaichi Budokai a bit, with the camera’s position and how the battles were going. Colored me impressed and the cutscenes seems very true to the anime like the first Budokai game! I’m so excited!

By the way, is that the SAME announcer for the old DBZ movies doing the voice over in this trailer? If so, that is AWESOME!

      • Achned Walters

        Its Piccolos voice ^_^

      • Robert Hendrie

It’s Chris Sabat, the man who voiced many characters in the DBverse.

        • Christopher Nunes

Oh, I see. He’s an amazing voice actor! ^_^

  • Zexill

    Budokai team you say!?

    You have my attention sir.

    • Captain Save-A-Hoe

Lmaooo I Feel The Same Way.

  • Steven Higgins

Not that it’s a big deal or anything but, why are we still calling the PS4 and XBOX ONE “Next gen”consoles when they’ve already been released?

    • Landale

Because support has not yet primarily shifted to them.

      • Steven Higgins

Okay. Also, is it just me or does the narrator sound A LOT like Picollo? Did they get Chris Sabat to do this thing?

        • 赤い血潮のハバネロ Kushina

          It is him, lol
          Of course.

  • Kroz

no rock paper scissors or crappy team based combat plz

  • TheManWithPants

D-did you… did you just say the BUDOKAI team?! As in DIMPS?! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, NAMCO BANDAI!

  • KrazyBean

The last DBZ game I enjoyed was Budokai Tenkaichi 3. This is being made by the Budokai team so I’m pretty excited for it.

  • Fox

    So… 2014? 2015?

  • Kornelious

So I am actually impressed. It looks like it plays just like budokai tenkaichi which was my favorite! Though it is to be expected since its the same team who made budokai team.
I’m guessing Xeno is the new thing in game titles :P Though it looks really good, I hope the roster is big, I might just have to get this :D

  • Matty

Needs a PC release to go along with my Naruto game on steam!

  • Hakai Ouji Vegeta #BADMAN

    Win.

Hoping that you can create your own character in this one.

  • RoyalR R.M

Now this I’ll get it for sure.

  • ifidontwhowill

This looks awesome. Lets hope they make a roster that will surpass BT3. I guess I shouldn’t get my hopes up though. I’ve been very excited for every DBZ game and most of them have quite frankly been pretty bad. I told myself after Battle of Z that I won’t support them anymore, but this trailer makes me hype. Hopefully with a new generation of consoles we can get something good fir DBZ.

  • Revolver Jesus Super Pimp

Budokai team eh? I just might keep my eye out for this. Don’t wanna jump the gun just yet besides I gotta wait until I see the character roster. Personally I’d like to see a Dragon Ball fighting game every two years and in between an rpg or something.

  • Benjamin Tyler

    Saiyan God…Trunks?

    • kenshinx13

AS MUCH AS I WOULD LOVE THAT i think it might bring back created characters. the guy has piccolo’s cloak and trunk’s jacket with a scouter and spiky hair ala yamcha or buu saga gohan. CUSTOM CHARACTER PLEAAAASSSEEE

  • Spider-Man

Holy shit that trailer. That person at the end looked a lot like Gohan. Going to assume it has something to do with multiverses that were mentioned in the movie.

  • Onizuka Gio Hikari

I WANT IT!! This looks like the DBZ game we always wanted!!

  • pokeslob

hype hype hype hype hype hype hype

  • TheHolypopeofgaming

Oh look a new Dragon Ball Game I can hardly contain my excitement…. (Ben Stein voice)

  • Rabbit

If it has more characters than Tenkaichi 3, I’ll buy it, but otherwise… For me, a lot of the charm of the Dragon Ball games were the huge rosters, and after Tenkaichi 3, everything went to hell along with the number of characters, ‘cept for the Hero Mode in Ultimate Tenkaichi — it’s the only reason I haven’t broken the game disc out of pure disgust.
