    I remember buying this at full price… And then finishing it in 6 hours. :/

    They were 6 awesome hours, mind you. But 7 bucks is a much better price for it.

      That’s because by today’s standards, it’s not a big game.

    • Michael Kelehan

      I played it through at least three times within a month of buying it. It’s short, but I love it.

    Ugh…I want to get GBA copy now. I’ll get one later down the road.

    Hmmmmm…. Mystery game announcement tonight just got a check point in the Metroid score card.

    Haha took me a second to see the virtual console part of the title. Was never really a fan of Metroid, but I might pick this up if it comes over here.

    Glad to see NEW games hitting the Virtual Console… but I’m still waiting for the older games to make the plunge. Where’s Secret of Mana? Final Fantasy III/VI? Chrono Trigger?

  • Spirit Macardi

    Wait, there’s PC Engline and MSX games on that list. Does that mean we’re going to get some non-Nintendo consoles coming soon to VC?

    Hey Ishaan, I bought the original Metroid for the Wii VC a long time ago but I could never… really beat it lol.

    Do you still recommend experiencing the original Metroid on NES or if one can’t beat it, go for Zero Mission?

    One thing that intimidates me for the original Metroid is the large world. Since I’m allowed to just go anywhere, I feel a bit lost. I suppose I just haven’t grasp what Metroid really is yet considering I’ve only played a few of them. So I would just like to hear what you’d like to say about it ;)

      Go straight for Metroid Zero. It pretty much retells her first adventure, gives you more tools to survive and adds in a lot of new elements like her Zero Suit gameplay.

      This game is made for people who likely can’t get into the original game because of how antiquated it is.

        Senpai will never notice me ;_;

        Anyhow, thanks for the advice. I’ll go for Zero Mission. My experience with 2D Metroids are very low considering I don’t own any of them and haven’t beaten any of them too lol
