SWERY’s “D4” Coming This Year, Will Support Non-Kinect Controls

Hidetaka “SWERY” Suehiros’s Xbox One exclusive, D4 (Dark Dreams Don’t Die), is still slated for a 2014 release, Siliconera learnt at E3.

The game will have three or four episodes in Season One, which will be released as a digital download this year.

While D4 uses Kinect, it can also be played with a controller for those that buy the $399 Xbox One without Kinect.

This year! that’s a good surprise.

Cool! I liked the first trailer and what they showed of gameplay. Looks like a quite unique title.

This has a beautiful art style. I hope to play these when I get an Xbox One in the future.

Man do I feel sad for SWERY. Microsoft dropping the Kinect must surely have affected development of this game.

Man, I didn’t even think about that. One hopes that removing the Kinect and using a controller won’t be too much work for them.

Yesss. This was one of the reasons making me consider an Xbone, and E3 provided a few more. Didn’t know it was coming out so soon though, may be getting the system sooner than I thought

This was one of my justifications for the Xbox One purchase. Kinect controls or otherwise, I hope things turn out well.

I’m currently playing Deadly Premonition on PS3, don’t own an XBONE, so I hope this comes to PS4 in the future.
