Japan Gets This Awesome Triforce Clock With Hyrule Warriors

By Ishaan . June 16, 2014 . 9:01am

Hyrule Warriors will have “Premium Box” and “Treasure Box” editions in Japan, which will come with a few bonus items aside from the game. The main attraction in both boxes is a clock shaped like the Triforce, and Tecmo Koei recently revealed (thanks, Zelda Informer) what it looks like:

Aside from the clock, the Premium box will contain the game, an official booklet and six character costumes. Meanwhile, the Treasure box will contain the game, an official booklet, the clock, eight character costumes, a treasure box with sound, and the scarf that Link wears in the game.

The Premium Box can actually be ordered via Play-Asia if you care to import it. Meanwhile, the Treasure Box is exclusive to Amazon.jp and Game City.

Hyrule Warriors will be released in Japan this August. A western release will follow in September, although Nintendo have not announced any special packages or bundles for the game in the West yet.

Oh yeah. P-A emailed me about this not long ago.

Only Japan gets the cool stuff.

    • bigstew

isn’t that what their m o is, they are Japanese companies so taking care of their own comes first regardless how they talk about the west, we are just trash that should except they even care enough to bring the game over in the first place.

  • NeptuniasBeard

Oh snap! It’s 8:88, I’m gonna miss my train!

  • Brimfyre

Awesome this confirms that characters can change costumes.

That might have been confirmed before, but this is the first I’ve heard of it. Fingers crossed for a chainmail bikini costume for Midna.

  • GamerLegend

amiibos could work with this game.

    • celery

Zelda and Midna figures, and Link in this costume, do want!!

  • “Character costumes.”

This game better not be filled with cosmetic DLC in N.A.

    • Alexander Marquis Starkey

Considering Koei is publishing it, and will likely be working on the localization stuff, yeah, it’s likely.

    • Brandonmkii

      Oh it will.

    • jugss

      Zelda in a bikini?

      • Why not? Bikini’s are the height of fashion, you know.

    • Your loss, kupo. Most of us will be enjoying them. Just like many others enjoyed the DOA5 DLCs and the thousands of other DLCs for the Dynasty Warriors franchise.

    • Considering it’s Koei, I won’t be expecting maps and such first and foremost, I’ll tell you that much.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

“Japan” awesome stuff with most of there games

    “Wast” Here’s a poster

    • Bigabu Beaze

      • 古戸ヱリカ

Wast is how they spall things in there country of Nippan.

      • ronin4life

(Comon, someone keep this going. OAO)

    • What games have posters these days? Honestly, a nice poster would be cool. The thing I always see is soundtracks, which while still cool, is kind of a gamble since you can never be sure how much you’re going to love the games audio until you play it (at least with a poster you can see what you’re getting)

  • James Enk

hope we will get something cool too

  • oh i want that clock and if possible id like the scarf too

  • Now I really can be the Hero of Time.

  • kyrt

Get ready for Dead or Alive pricing on character costumes.

  • Pedro Rosas

    My wallet is tingling

  • Yan Zhao

Weird, I pre-ordered the treasure box on Play Asia, and this article claims they only got the premium box…hmm..maybe I should check back to make sure it wasnt a mistake.

  • Is the 8.8 reference worldwide now?

    • “8” is the number that uses all of the segments on the digital number font, which is why it’s used to indicate that the display is working fine. Like when you reset a digital clock or calculator, the display flashes “888888” before resetting.

      • Ishaan, we are not that dumb. That is common knowledge since the day Calculators and Digital Clocks started to be manufactured. But I appreciate that you did that explanation for those that do not know.

        • Oh, I didn’t mean any offense. Just that judging by some of the comments I see from time to time, sometimes it honestly feels like certain people are so wrapped up in their Internet memes and GIFs that they lose of track of reality. :P

          • This internet is filled with wonders like those, no?

  • Land of Green Pasture

eh? because Zelda series doesn’t do too well in japan compared to other nintendo title? so is this an incentive for collector to at least buy them?

  • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

It would be a pleasure to own such a device if it was available in the West. Either way, can’t wait for this one. Although based on Dynasty Warrior combat, I love everything that I have seen so far.

  • ronin4life

    I want that scarf.

  • The Treasure Box is also available at play-asia….

  • Crevox

    It even has an alarm…

  • David García Abril
  • If the clock comes with it in the U.S., I’ll buy it lol =)

  • Nan

YOu can also order from Nippon-Yasan or use a proxy

  • AuraGuyChris

8:88? What kind of time-bending rules do they have over at Japan?

    • Travis Stindt

That is the sticker that comes with clocks that you have to take off before use >.>

  • Guest

    I NEED IT!

  • Guest
