Since I got the collectors edition, the only thing I see new here is the Color Variation pack, which I can probably drop 3$ on :)

  • KingGunblader

Did they make the JP voice pack available as DLC? I didn’t get the game, but plan on doing so eventually.

  • PlayLife

What I really needed is an update/DLC to ease the pain of that Final Song.

    • Whoomp

Truly, It makes me feel physically unwell.

      • PlayLife

I can’t beat branch D the way it is, they really need to fix the stupid camera angles or at least take out that 1-miss-kill

        • RedShadoww

(Final boss spoilers I guess) There’s a timing guide on youtube for it. To sync it just pause the video right as the flower disappears, go back to your game and start the final boss, when the first beat hits, unpause the video AND hit the beat in your game at the same time.

Still nothing on whether they’ll be releasing JP voice patches for the Sister DLC?

  • RedShadoww

Honestly, I find the very idea of (overpriced) DLC that’s relevant to the story and character development to be absurd. And if you played the entire game with JP voices, you’ll be forced to play the DLC in english. Square Enix really disappointed me with how they handled this game.

Just got the game myself and I’m loving how it’s taken Drakengard 1′s insanity and run with it! I do kind of miss the wide open battlefields, but everything else is just so great that it’s hardly a deal-breaker.

Love the dub work too. Tara Platt is great as Zero, and it’s funny to hear Yuri Lowenthal as Dito hitting on her since the two are married in real life. Also, the fact that they based the Intoners off the Madoka Magica cast means it can’t be a coincidence that Christine Cabanos voices one of them x3

I’m going to be playing this delightfully twisted masterpiece for a while~

      -spoiler-

it has similar plot twist like Madoka Magica as well

      • Spirit Macardi

Yup, I’m well aware. Spoiled a few things for myself, but actually seeing them play out is still exciting x3

Man. I still haven’t beat the base game! Dang Ni No Kuni (from the recent Flash Sale, when it was $5) has destroyed my “gaming schedule”, and D3 was the main casualty. I gotta get back in and settle things with Two/see what Zero’s problem with HER is.

I hope I have a taste for more when I finish though. It’s kind of repetitive, and I miss the wide-open battlefields + ability to use the dragon anywhere, but I did totally want a brawler lately (I almost bought Blades of Time), and as far as brawlers go, it’s pretty awesome. The story doesn’t work as well as Nier did though – kind of disappointed there. But man… I REALLY want to know more about the non-Zero intoners. The “Sister prologues” DLC intrigues the heck out of me… but man, it’ll get expensive.

*sigh* I guess the eu version will never get a update….japanese voices don’t work
