Some Of Hyrule Warriors’ Costume DLC Revealed

By Ishaan . July 1, 2014 . 11:31am

As reported in the past, Hyrule Warriors will have costume DLC, and download codes for some of those costumes will be available alongside different versions the game in Japan. Two of these outfits have been revealed via the game’s website.

The standard, Premium Box and Treasure Box versions of Hyrule Warriors will all come with a “Courage” costume set, which will contain three costumes. One of these costumes is Link’s tunic from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Meanwhile, exclusive to the Premium Box and Treasure Box versions of the game is the “Wisdom” costume set, which will contain another three costumes. One of these outfits has been revealed as Zelda’s robes from Twilight Princess.

Finally, the Treasure Box version will contain a third costume set, which is the “Power” costume set. This will contain two additional costumes of its own, but neither of these has been revealed yet. Given how the Triforce is usually divided up in the Zelda games, the Power costume set will probably contain a costume for Ganondorf, who will presumably be revealed as a playable character at some point.

Hyrule Warriors will be available in Japan this August. A North American release will follow in September.

I am so looking forward to this game. Queen Zelda looks awesome but Lana might end up being a favorite of mine.

Perhaps this DOES mean Ganondorf will be playable and the “power” costume is his outfit from Twilight Princess. Hopefully this means the roster will exceed the nine slots from E3 and we get to play as many villains as well as the heroes.

It’s a spin-off so not as many fundamentals to The Legend of Zelda series has to be obliged.

That would be pretty cool, playing through “what-if” scenarios as gannondorf and slaying Link at the end of his story.

Even a free mode would be fine enough.

Kinda hoping some scenarios will be recreation of past events.
2 that i can think of that be be awesome to play is the battle of Hyrule castle (i think) at the end of Twilight Princess and that Prequel comic for Skyward Sword (though i do not know if that is canon)

I really don’t think we have worry about Ganondorf, or a lot of characters, being playable. Aunuma and KT guy (forgot his name) already mentioned in an interview during E3 that if there’s a favorite Zelda character you have, they’ll probably be playable in Hyrule Warriors. I imagine the nine slots shown during E3 will scroll down into much, MUCH more.

As many people are hoping. I hope that Wind Waker Ganondorf is playable with his two swords style fighting.

  • Namuro

That makes sense. They already have a lot of characters from Twilight Princess in the game like Midna, Agitha and so on; might as well give Link and Zelda the looks from that era as well!

Likewise. Also the Scarf bothers me.Not that Scarfs bothers me solely, but that he reminds me too much of Zhao Yun in DW7.

Though TP Link is my favorite design of him anyway. Zelda? she looks good no matter what.

I wonder if NintendoOA with be like Koei and slowly trickle out DLC as it goes on, or be like Bamco and release them all at once like they did with DW:Gundam Reborn today?

  • raulrain

Ganon playable? Give me give me

  • shuyai

Will we finally have a chance to see Zelda in maid uniform, bunny girl and bikini?

somehow i cant imagine it, its like Zelda is way to pure and graceful for that

    • Fainaru Luna

She is too godly and elegant to be in them anyways

    • Shippoyasha

If there’s a beach, why not? Mankinis for Link!

  • exrazer

Bikini zelda will come you guys just wait,

    • Justin Graham

No, think bigger and better. Dynasty and Samurai Warriors crossover costumes. Queen Zelda dressed as Ginchiyo. Yes, this is what I want to see.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

Queen Zelda is hotter tho lol

    • Ric Vazquez

      Agreed

  • raymk

So the news finally comes here. Costumes do look good though and I especially like zelda TP dress.

  • carlospsp

    Skyward sword cries

  • NeoMosko

Heres hoping they release Fierce Deity Link.

    • Ric Vazquez

That would be oh so awesome

  • John Lawson

Best Zelda gets Worst Zelda as a skin.

    • Slayven19

This zelda in the game isn’t any real particular zelda. And who’s the best zelda? Hopefully you aren’t talking about the SS zelda…

      • John Lawson

This Zelda is Particularly This Zelda, and by far the best designed one just yet. SS Zelda is just a Mary Sue

  • TempestTwin

Hopefully Ganondorf will be playable and TK will teach sakurai a thing or two on how he should properly be in a fighting game instead of some captain falcon clone…

    • k.b.a.

Lol was about to say the same thing. Don’t matter what you want Sakurai wont do it. We still love home tho. I really hope this can satiate my 10+ year itch for a proper playable ganondorf and other Zelda faves

The question is: Will the DLC be Japan-only?

    • Ixbran

thing with Koei is that DLC costumes like this, that come with only premium boxes or can only be gained from pre-ordering from certain stores, become basic pre-order bonus DLC for the west.

These will likely become preorder bonus costumes for GameStop in america, as well as the game stop equivalent for europe and canada. so its no worries, were likely going to get them.
