Final Fantasy XIV Eorzea Café Opening In Tokyo Soon

An “Eorzea Café” based on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is opening in Akihabara, Tokyo soon, and Square Enix have posted a few photographs from inside the café to their FFXIV developer blog.

The café, Square says, is modeled after the Carline Canopy in Gridania. It has PCs set up inside for anyone that wants to play the game while visiting. Naturally, there are also food and drinks themed after Final Fantasy XIV that will be served.

Moogle Honey Toast

Lord of Crags, Titan – Earthen Fury Burger

You can find images of more dishes and other parts of the café at the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn developer blog.

Will HQ food cost more? What on the menu gives me more CRIT? My Fire’s need more CRIT!

  • endril

    {Master} {Culinarian} {I’m interested.}

  • My cynical side says, “But anyone who knows what that is probably won’t go outside and eat there,” but if you don’t know me, you’d think I was being serious.

  • leadintea

I like the decor, but the food looks like ass.

    • That Titan Burger. Hard mode causes intestinal tremors.

  • Draparde

I’d wanna try going there. if i lived anywhere near it….

  • NintendoPSXTheSecond

Oh. My. God. My hometown has it’s own bloody real-life restaurant. Gridania forever!!
Realistically, I would NEVER log into those PC’s in fear of having my password obtained XD

  • Ni ~Algidus~

I find these types of themed restaurant really awesome but i’ll never be able to eat a Moogle-looking food >:

  • KoRLumen

They were supposed to open on the 31st, according to Kotaku.

I was in Tokyo for vacation until just a few hours ago.

I left the morning of the 31st.

    God dammit.

At least I have another reason to go back next year!

  • Bunzi

The game has some legitimately good food in it so it’s kinda disappointing they’re using the typical mascot shaped stuff.

    Also. Miqo’te Yoshi-P. =3

  • I’d like to order some Phoenix Downs please lol

  • Black Heaven

Looks fantastic. Do they serve Elixirs? :)

For additional revenue, I hope they cater to non-player passers-by who happen to be looking for a nice dining atmosphere. Who knows, maybe those people might try out the game afterwards.

    • Here’s the drink menu, from Kotaku’s article on it:–7jcHp3VE–/iuknfpkb2eedrgujimr0.jpg

      Looks like plenty of elixirs to me! ( ^ – ^ )

(Ugh, what a day, I need something fierce)
“Welcome, can I take your order Sir?”
“yeah let me see, um, I’ll take a Red Mage please”
“Sir, you are aware that it is a Womens coctail?”
“oh OH you are right I-I knew that ahaha, no never mind, give me a Warrior of Light”
“Sir, that one is for Women too. Notice the pink colour?”
“… a Dragoon Lance on the rocks?”
        “childrens soft drink, Sir.”
“okay fuck it just take my Gil and give me something”
“A White Mage Doki Doki Kyaa coming right up, Sir”

      • Black Heaven

        Dat beverage menu! <3

They really went out and put flavor texts in all their drinks.

  • SuperSailorV

    Mithkabobs? Sole Sushi? ANYTHING?!

    This restaurant is dumbed down.

  • icup ✔️

*goes in expecting catgirls, giants, elves, or midgets… but get this guy.*

    • Jadfish

and everything turned out better than expected <3

    • Black Heaven

Why not? Hyurs are part of Eorzea too. :D

  • Why don’t they do this kind of stuff in North America? I don’t care if it’s just super temporary conversions of existing establishments that only pop up around cons like PAX or E3 or Comic Con. Just do it.

I WANT TO EAT A MOOGLE! I also want those little swords for stabbin’ potatoes (see the Kotaku link below)

Also, Kotaku has more pics than the developer blog, bizarrely:

Man, this is a nice-looking place.

  • Jadfish

I still remember that aprils fools joke about being able to date NPC characters.
What made that memorable was that the players WANTED it so much.
Rare occurrence of Square Enix knowing what their audience wants, I guess.

  • Raltrios

Okay, the Earthen Fury Burger is the most metal name for a hamburger I’ve ever seen.
