S.E.E.S. goddess Mitsuru Kirijo returns with her Persona, Artemisia, in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Atlus have shared gameplay footage of her in a new trailer that you can check out below. It also teases the Shadow variant of her character the very end.

    Scary (cool) Shadow Mitsuru laughter…

  • Mirai

I was going to comment on this trailer but I was “Executed” before I had the chance.

  • Dekukaja

Is it just me, or has the announcer been sounding progressively more bored throughout these trailers?

    • Maurice

Haha, seems like it yeah. Adachi’s one was the best in my opinion.

  • KuroNathan

no new moves for mitsuru? even Kanji’s grab got a new neat property

    • Dekukaja

She’s got a new low projectile (kinda like Yukiko’s Maragi), her new autocombo doesn’t drop, she can use Coup Droit through mirrors to freeze, and Myriad Arrows doesn’t break the ice on a frozen opponent so you have a better chance to charge the kick.

      That’s all I know about Mitsuru’s changes.

  • MrJechgo

Not that much of a fan of her mecanics (I hate charging characters because of how finicky the timing and direction as to be), but her look, presence, leadership, behavior and fighting style are just awesome.

Maybe it’s the hair that keeps covering one of her eyes that gives her that seducive and mysterious vibe ^_^.

BTW, I keep thinking that Mitsuru is “more than just a friend” to Akihiko Sanada… am I wrong? They seem quite close.

    Shadow Mitsuru: HAHAHAHAHA :3

  • ThatDamnCanadian

    Oh Mitsuru, please execute me

Same could be said about not having it on the Vita (as it could be possibly, since Blaz Blu was on the Vita). But there might still be hope for a port, or I think PS4 has a “Playstation Play” feature, that lets you stream PS3 games? (I’m not entirely sure about the whole process myself) But I think I saw the Atlus game Catherine (made my the Persona team) on there….so there’s still hope? :D

Its region free this time so you can buy it from us or canada

    “PlayStation Now”. And probably.

I think they’re going to wait until most of the content for Ultimax is released, so that the vita can get an upgraded version, like most of ASW’s handheld ports. Maybe even complete with the first games’s story-line since the vita didn’t get the first Arena game. Let’s wait until the Tokyo Game Show, since Arc Sys Works usually makes an annual appearance there, and announcing new games or showing off what has already been announced. And thats where P$A first did its gameplay preview i think.

  • sillyfudgemonkeys

Oh your right. XD I thought I typed “now”, guess my brain betrayed me. XD

  • sillyfudgemonkeys

Makes sense, since I’ve heard that if you get Ultimax, you can get a DLC of Arena’s story mode. Which I think is a good deal since you’ll get two story modes and the updated fighting style, roster/characters, ect. :) It would also be good to see how well the game sells on home consoles first, to see if they should even bother porting it to Vita or Playstation Now.

Hopefully not Playstation Now, I’d rather have a handheld copy. But a port like this would be something held back until the next E3, then again, it would be the showcasing of or the announcement of the localized version. But with the new Persona game announcment and ASW working on the CP 2.0 patch, they would have there hands full unless theres a specific team of people like Team BB/GG for Blazblue and Guilty Gear respectively. But even if there was an extra team, they are still working on Ultimax for the consoles. However, a port should be nothing..just a quick copy and paste like they did for BBCP minus the multiplayer and jap voices. And the graphics for the vita version were compressed, but otherwise looks virtually the same. So when it does get announced, I wont have to pay for the DLC characters since they’ll be free for the first week, can’t say the same for Margaret yet..Hopefully they aren’t Disk-Locked-Content like Terumi was…

Now that I’ve looked at Playstation Now, it looks like you can only rent games from it. :/ Like, it wouldn’t be a bad idea, but they should also make it available for people who want to own it (so like owning a digital copy of the PS3 ver on the PS4, kinda like how they have PS2 and PS1 games playable on the PS3). I wouldn’t mind ports, but it’d be cool if Atlus did (re-)release it on the PS4 and/or Vita, with extra characters or something special. I might make for a nice cash grab on the companies part but it’d also be nice for PS4 owners (we need games! ;w;). Maybe even better if they have a cool cross-buy or extras if people also get the Vita version too and you connect the two systems together to get something special (similar to Assassins Creed 3 and Assassins Creed Liberation had an extra mission)? But either way, I’m down for either a port or 2nd release. XD The more the merrier.
I’m hoping Margret is free, but I’m getting her anyways so I’m cool with having to pay for her. But I have a feeling she’ll be free as long as she’s done by the time the game comes out. Hopefully it’s not Disk-locked, though truth be told I’m not entirely sure on what that is but I know people hate it. XD
Now I’m hoping they announce Theo as well….but part of me kinda doubts it (I’ve heard he’s not too popular in Japan. ;w;), but he might considering he’s getting more of a role as of PQ and this game (from what the screen shot shows). :D

This DLC controversy started because of Crapcom. Remember Street Fighter X Tekken? The so called DLC was on the discs the entire time, which were found by hackers and maybe pirates, but people everywhere were pissed that they had to pay money to just “unlock” the content that was already present, which was about 40% on the disk including the characters, gems, and the costumes. the worst part is that the total for all of the DLC cost more than the game itself, i think. But because of this event, the term DLC gained a second meaning known as Disked Locked Content instead of Downloadable content.

In the case with Blazblue CP, Terumi can be used in the game, however it requires you to purchase him obviously, but the irony is that in the story mode, you fight him at least three times. regardless if you purchased him or not. This means he was already in the game. But hopefully in the 2.0 patch, Celica and Lambda are free.
