By Ishaan . September 4, 2014 . 8:27am

A demo for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call will be available in North America and Europe today. You’ll be able to download it via the Nintendo eShop.

The demo features two songs—“J-E-N-O-V-A” from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and “Edgar and Sabin’s Theme” from Final Fantasy VI. You’ll be able to play it up to 30 times before it expires.

Additionally, if you download the demo, you’ll have more characters unlocked in the full game when it releases later this month.

    Ooh, demo bonuses! Sold.

  • Jin Kisaragi

    It’s been a while since I wanted a 3DS game.

    • Anewme…Again

      Same with me.
I think the last game i bought on the 3DS is Pokemon X, so it have been a while.

      • zaidandzhadow

I think it’s most of the 3ds owners case

  • PenguinPlayer

The only Final Fantasy I played was XII, and I didn’t even finish it, but I’m still picking this up because:

    1. Fun rhythm game
    2. Great soundtrack
    3. 200+ songs

And that’s all I need to know.

  • Is the previous game as hard as the Advent Children track? That thing was crazy.

    • Kalis Konig

That track is actually easy when compared to some of the harder tracks in the first game and in Curtain call lol.

      • That’s too bad. I guess I’ll just play on Doofus settings then

        • Kalis Konig

Trust me you will get better. Just work your way up. When I first tried songs on Ultimate difficulty I thought you had to be a freak to get through them. After a few days or so of messing around with them It really got easy. Now I no longer have the patience to play on the easier difficulties lol. Good luck.

    • TheRealMalek

It’s only doable in joystick mode which wasn’t the case in the first game.

      • Mark

I got SS using a stylus on Ultimate difficulty my 1st try, it wasn’t hard at all. Just wait for the spinning arrows.

  • Hey, those are good songs too…

  • Jimmy Bump

Also there is a sale to promote smash bros., so if you wanted to buy more games then theres that.

  • Aemette

Yes! I’ve been waiting for you my sweet!

  • ThatGuy3190_7

I’m not a Final Fantasy fan, or at least, I’ve only enjoyed FF 3-6. I am simply playing this game for the music. Not as superb as music from Persona but FF music are still great nonetheless.

Also, what is the file size of the demo?

    • PenguinPlayer

      410 blocks.

  • Christopher Nunes

Dammit! And my 3DS is bust at this time, I did sent it out earlier for repairs, but this is aggravating! :<

I hope everyone enjoys the demo, I loved the first game a lot!

  • piichan

I sold the 1st game after failing hard on ultimate difficulty and no money for dlc songs. But i’ll definitely get this. Great that you can use the buttons now and go hybrid.
