Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Has An Exlusive Star Fox Stage

The Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. will have an exclusive “Orbital Gate” stage based on Star Fox, director Masahiro Sakurai said over Miiverse.

“This is a Wii U version-exclusive stage reenacting Team Star Fox’s defense of the Orbital Gate from an Aparoid missile attack,” Sakurai wrote.

“Missiles are launched towards the Orbital Gate! The force field shields the machinery for a while, and the missiles eventually get shot down by team Star Fox,” he continued. “Overall, this stage feels like a ride. It’s pretty hectic, so hold on tight!”

Sakurai added one final screenshot to his updated for the day, writing: “The Arwings are passing through the gate! And the fighters hop on for a free ride!!”

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be released this Holiday.
