Gunvolt And Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies Discounted In North America

By Ishaan . December 1, 2014 . 10:30am

Azure Striker Gunvolt is on discount sale in North America until December 15th. You can grab the action-platformer for $10 (down from $15) via the Nintendo eShop.

Additionally, Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies is on sale for $15 (down from $30) until 8:59 am PST tomorrow (Tuesday).

Finally, a bunch of Atlus games have been discounted on the eShop, too, but by this point, you probably already own most of them.

Some Vita games are $15 right now, including Freedom Wars in Best Buy as well. Looks like $15 is the go to price for handheld game sales.

    • Cheesy12

Thank you for that Freedom Wars headsup!

  • LastFootnote

Phew. I read “discounted” as “discontinued” and was like, “WHAAAAAA!?”

    • BlinkingRune

I came in to make this exact comment. Woo!

  • Mavalex

The downside is that Mighty Gunvolt doesnt come bundled
bbbuuuuttttt, mighty gunvolt is now buyable as a separate thing

    • fool

I sure got burned because I woke up on the morning of the 28th in a cold sweat: I needed to buy Gunvolt before they removed Mighty Gunvolt so that I could achieve Maximum Value.

Then it was immediately added to the Cyber Deals sale making the price of GV+MGV the same as the “free” deal before. I don’t even want Mighty Gunvolt.

  • Torbrex

Aw man my 3DS is being sent to Nintendo for repairs. I would’ve gotten both.

  • Caleb

Also, I Yumi’s Odd Odyssey is $10 (regularly $20-$30) and the korg snyth with oscilloscope and the korg music station are both 50% off, sale ends today(Dec 1).

  • Herok♞

I love the line about the Atlus games.

  • Blue_Falcon

G-Style’s 5 games are also on sale until the end of the month at $3 a piece (usually going for a combined $27).

  • Judgment Waltz

The discount for Dual Destinies is pretty much the same price for buying all chapters in the iOS version. And I suppose that’s a good thing if you’re a 3DS-only owner and you feel left out for the iOS price.

Also, Atlus be like “WE NEED MOAR DISCOUNTS!”

    • Actually DD 3DS is still 5 dollars more expensive than on iOS. It’s 15 dollars now for main game + 5 for DLC case=20 while the iOS is 10 dollars for main and 5 for DLC = 15. Thank you Capcom!

      • Judgment Waltz

Seriously? Um… wow. Wasn’t expecting the iOS version to get a discount too. Eh, well there you go.

        • Yep. Especially that the iOS trilogy has been discounted from 17 to 9 when it’s buggy as hell (achievements barely sync, the vase thing when you have to spell a name (not gonna go any further coz spoilers) only works when you input a specific way, and it randomly shuts down on iOS8. And Capcom is STILL selling it for 17 dollars normally. Plus they dropped support for the superior Ghost Trick smmfh…

    • Meh even if I had a iphone I would still pick 3DS cause I have the series on Nintendo handheld.

  • ThatGuy3190_7

I wish Atlus would hold sales on PSN as often as they do for eShop.

    • Kalis Konig

The last few times atlus had sales on the eshop their PS2 classics went on sale the week after. I remember I picked up Etrian Odyssey on the eshop and a few days later I got both raidou games for $8 . I noticed the same sale again a few days after I got Devil Survivor on the eshop during the atlus sale before this one and Persona 4 on PSN for around 7 bucks. Hopefully they keep this trend going. I wouldn’t mind picking up Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 for a few bucks off.

      • ThatGuy3190_7

I’ve been having my eyes set on Kenka Banchou for a while.

    • Herok♞

They do, I feel like I see the persona games and other titles on sale at least once a month.

  • Adrian Duran

calling Atlus sales “news” is like calling the Middle Eastern conflict “news”

  • I”ll catch Gunvolt next time, I bought Dual Destinies and Yumi’s Odd Odyssey during the sale.

  • PenguinPlayer

“Finally, a bunch of Atlus games have been
discounted on the eShop, too, but by this point, you probably already
    own most of them.”

Hah, jokes on you, I don’t own a single one of them. Probably won’t either since I am taking all my money to Steam this time. Freakin Steam.

  • MAN! Ace Attorney goes on sale SO RARELY. Why is it just for one day though? I get money later in the week! URRRGGH.

    Stupid Cyber Monday insanity nonsense.

  • mojack411

I may grab Gunvolt later. I have spent so much money lately not sure if I can do more.

  • NanbuKaguya

Gunvolt could be discounted till it’s 5 bucks and I still wouldn’t recommend buying this neutered version of the original experience.

    • Jiff

Really? Neutered. I’m not one to bait an argument, but gameplay wise it is similar to the Zero series and in my opinion, does great on its own in the music department too. I’ll just leave it at that, lest things turn into an altercation about quality of an art form medium because of missing text.

      • NanbuKaguya

Missing interesting tidbits in between stages and having completely no voice, no thanks. Shantae and the pirate’s curse is more expensive developed by Inti as well but well worth every cent. I rather pay more for a full package then pay slightly less for a much more awful gaming experience.

  • awat

dayumn i had like 11$ some week ago, i wanted Gunvolt it was costing 14,99 and i had already spent those 11$ for mighty switch force/legend of the witch < okayish games MSF is good though but now i miss this :l

  • fairysun
