The U.S. Is Starting To Get Monster Hunter-Themed Rides As Well

Capcom are teaming up with Six Flags, the largest theme park operator in the world, to run a Monster Hunter-themed ride.

The ride in question will be a re-themed version of Six Flags’ Goliath rollercoaster ride at the Six Flags Magic Mountain. As part of the collaboration with Capcom, it’s being outfitted with a new look based on Gore Magala, the monster on the cover of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

The Gore Magala ride began operating today, and will remain operational until August 10th. Attendees will get to go hands-on with the demo version of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

It’s interesting to see that Capcom USA are starting to promote the game similar to the way Monster Hunter is promoted in Japan. The marketing appears to be paying off, too—the NPD Group reported that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was the fastest-selling Monster Hunter game in the U.S. at launch.
