Several More DLC Characters Will Be Added To Super Smash Bros.

You’ve probably already guessed this, but Ryu, Roy, and Lucas are not characters that were added to Super Smash Bros. because of fan votes. (Thanks, Source Gaming)

Back in April, Nintendo opened a ballot that allows fans to vote on what fighters they would like to see added to Super Smash Bros. as DLC characters, but director Masahiro Sakurai recently said in his Famitsu magazine column that Ryu, Roy, and Lucas were in development well before the decision was opened up to a fan vote.

Sakurai also stated that one can expect to see several more characters added to the game as DLC until the team that works on the game can no longer be kept together.
