While it might not be the console Bomberman we’ve been waiting for, Konami announced that they’re launching Versus! Bomberman this winter for Android and iOS. Famitsu shares the details.
The main focus of Versus! Bomberman is its “Online Versus” mode, where you’ll get to participate in “Online Battles” against rivals that are of your level. The other mode called “Friend Battle” will let you play with friends by sharing a key.
Both modes will let you play with up to four people, and it features cross-play between Android and iOS.
The 1-player “Single Battle” mode has 100 stages that will provide you with more than enough of a challenge to brush up your bomber skills before taking it to the competitive online fights.
According to the press release, the “fun factor” of the game’s versus modes is something that got the most attention for its development, and that means fine-tuned controls compared to previous Bomberman games on smartphone.
Versus! Bomberman will launch in Japan sometime this winter for Android and iPhone.
