The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Will Have A Ghost Lantern And Hero Mode

Nintendo opened up about some of the new features in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD that will make the game more accessible and open for people returning to Hyrule. In addition to improved graphics and load times and a new dungeon, Hero Mode, GamePad features, a Ghost Lantern, and Miiverse stamps will all be in the rerelease.

Hero Mode is the more difficult version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD that someone can enable from the start. Link takes double damage, or four times damage if the Ganondorf amiibo is tapped to the GamePad. He won’t find any hearts to heal him in the field and the entire world is mirrored from the original game, so the dungeon maps are reversed.

While Hero Mode makes things harder, some of the other The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD features make the game a little less complicated. One of these is the Ghost Lantern item, which you can use to find Poe Souls. It glows if a Poe is nearby. You only need 12 Tears of Light total in the game as well. Wallet sizes have been increased to hold more Rupees, which is good since Rupees won’t be returned to a treasure chest if your wallet is full when you find them.

Finally, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will offer multiple GamePad use options. Someone can use it for off-TV play. Or, if they have access to the TV, can use the GamePad for wolf transformations, map access, and inventory management without pausing and going into menus. The GamePad can also be used for Miiverse posting while playing, with themed Miiverse stamps for the game collected while you play.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will come to the Nintendo Wii U on March 4, 2016. It will be sold alone or in a bundle with the Wolf Link amiibo and a soundtrack C.
