The manga series based on Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is going to be localized by Viz Media. Pokémon Adventures author Hidenori Kusaka and artist Satoshi Yamamoto continue the storyline of the original Pokémon Adventures Ruby and Sapphire comic in this new, special edition series. The story kicks off with Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald doing everything they can to stop a meteor on a collision course with Earth. The first volume is expected to release in September 2016.
Pokémon fans can also look forward to a gift set from Viz Media this October that includes both volumes of Santa Harukaze’s Pokémon Pocket Comics. The set includes two books: one that focuses on Pokémon Black & White characters and another that highlights Legendaries like Black Kyurem. Both books feature humorous four-panel comics and come with additional trivia questions, quizzes, and puzzles. The two books were originally sold for $9.99 when they were originally released, but the box set is being sold for $16.99.
Viz Media is also releasing a Pokémon-inspired cookbook in December.
