Pokémon Sun & Moon Are 3.2GB Games

The Pokémon Sun and Moon Japanese website has been updated with important news for anyone considering a digital copy of the Nintendo 3DS game. The file size has been revealed. These are 3.2GB games. Since each Nintendo 3DS block of memory is about 128KB, that means they will take up about 26,176 blocks of memory on your Nintendo 3DS system’s SD or microSD card.

This may require people who intend to download Pokémon Sun and Moon and their demo from the Nintendo eShop to buy a new microSD or SD card. Standard Nintendo 3DS systems and New Nintendo 3DS systems each come with 4GB SD or microSD cards. You can check how many blocks of memory you have on your system by going into Data Management in your Nintendo 3DS’ System Settings.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will come to the Nintendo 3DS in North America and Japan on November 18, 2016, followed by a European release on November 23, 2016.
