Last week, Japan had several new releases including Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX, Beyblade Burst God, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney on 3DS, Dragonball Xenoverse 2 Deluxe Edition, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

At #1 we have Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon at the top of the chart for the second week straight with 168,978 units sold on 3DS. Following in #2 is Super Mario Odyssey with 77,751 units sold, an increase from the 62,024 the week prior. This definitely comes from the high number of Switch consoles that sold in Japan last week.

#3 is the week’s first new title, and it is Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone DX with 34,896 units sold on PS4 for its debut. Lately it’s been all about Pokémon and Super Mario, but Splatoon 2 is still hanging in there at #4 with 30,275 units sold on Switch. Call of Duty: WWII placed #5 with 21,512 units sold on PS4.

The next new title of the week is Beyblade Burst God which charted at #11 with 9,550 units sold on 3DS. The Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney 3DS port follows at #14 with 4,832 units sold. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Deluxe Edition placed #16 with 4,216 units sold, and lastly we have Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus at #20 with 3,555 units sold on PS4.

It’s also worth noting that Animal Crossing: New Leaf made its way into the top-10 for the first time in a while after charting at #9 with 10,806 units sold compared to #19 last week with 3,44 units sold. This likely comes from the launch of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that may have given fans a bigger appetite for some more Animal Crossing.

The biggest surprise this week comes from the whopping 145,200 Nintendo Switch consoles that sold in Japan, a major increase from the 86,999 units the week prior. This puts the total Nintendo Switch consoles sold in Japan at 2,396,257 units since its launch in March if we go by Media Create’s data.
