The original Final Fantasy XIII, released in Japan on December 17th, 2009, sold 1,501,964 copies (on PlayStation 3) in its first week.
Amazon’s Black Friday specials are live and White Knight Chronicles II is on sale right now for $37.99 alongside Final Fantasy XIII which goes for $14.99.
Square Enix re-released the game as part of their Ultimate Hits line, which is Square Enix’s own “Greatest Hits” label for Japan. Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong followed suit and re-released their version Final Fantasy XIII too.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 is just six months away from release in Japan.
Square Enix is about to re-release Final Fantasy XIII… again. Ultimate Hits Final Fantasy XIII and Ultimate Hits International Final Fantasy XIII Platinum Collection (say that three times fast!) are scheduled to arrive in stores on July 21.
