In April, Namco Bandai delayed Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch from a 2012 title to early 2013. Fortunately, the wait for Level-5′s epic RPG won’t be too long.

This version of Ni no Kuni has extra monsters, new Imagines to find, and three special quests. All of these bonuses and a new easy difficulty setting will be bundled on disc.

Level-5 created an easy mode, added all of the free DLC available on the PlayStation Network, and three monsters from the GREE game Ni no Kuni: The Great Adventure Monsters.

Namco Bandai recently held an event outlining their game releases for the near future. Here’s the most interesting stuff we encountered on the show floor.

I was able to play 20 minutes of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch in English and by the end of the session I was convinced a Namco Bandai rep was going to have to rip the controller from my hands.

Originally slated for winter 2012, North America will have to wait a bit longer for Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

Level-5 partners with GREE to make social games for three of their biggest franchises.

Oliver will fight and befriend creatures in this other world and Drippy is one of the first buddies he makes. If you’ve been following Ni no Kuni’s development you may know him by his Japanese name, Shizuku.

Both the North American and European versions of the game will have Japanese and English-language voice tracks.

Namco Bandai Games Europe released some play footage of the game alongside the announcement.

Free downloadable content has Oliver fight an enraged elk-like monster and a gigantic bird.

Ancient weapons have been appearing and the knights ask Oliver to destroy them. Judging by the screenshots, these ancient weapons look like some kind of mecha.
