Zone of the Enders HD Collection’s transition from 30 FPS to 60 was not as smooth as Kojima had hoped for.
Last month, Konami erected a giant Jehuty bust in Akihabara, in order to promote Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Now you can watch how they did it.
Jehuty has been lying in Konami’s intellectual property basement between Bill Rizer and the Vic Viper. Since HD re-releases are all the rage Konami handed Jehuty to The Conduit developer High Voltage Software to make Zone of the Enders HD Collection.
Last week saw a slate of new releases in Japan, with Namco Bandai’s The Idolm@ster Shiny Festa taking the top spot.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be released in Japan this week, and Konami have put together a large Jehuty bust to promote the game.
Konami also released new screenshots alongside the announcement of the limited collector’s edition.
Konami have announced a release date for Zone of the Enders HD Collection, which will also include a demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
If you wanted a boxed copy of Zone of the Enders HD Collection it’s just 3,980 yen ($50). A digital release is even less – just 3,480 yen ($44) for both remastered games.
HD remasters are kind of like putting make up on, this PlayStation commercial suggests. I suppose that’s a fair statement because Zone of Enders HD Collection looks prettier in HD running at 60fps.
Another look at Zone of the Enders HD Collection, slated for release this fall.
Konami put a new batch of screenshots of the two-game compilation out this week.
Zone of the Enders was inspired by the mecha anime and Konami got one of the masters of the genre to introduce Zone of the Enders HD Collection.
The Metal Gear Rising demo will also be released on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade at a later date.
Fans in attendance at Kojima Productions’ recent Zone of the Enders event had a ball photographing the models and pieces of art that were on display.
