Animate announced it will release new t-shirts based on the Tales of games series on August 29, 2026. There will be 19 options in total, with each unisex shirt using the cover of a mothership title in the long-running JRPG series as its featured design.
This Tales of games t-shirts collection from Animate commemorates the 30th anniversary of the series. Each one of the items will cost 3,805 JPY (~$24.20), and every design will only come in a unisex adult large size. As mentioned earlier, there will be 19 different variations to get, each bearing the cover design of a different mothership title.

The Tales of series began in 1995, back before Namco became Bandai Namco. The first game in the series was Tales of Phantasia, which originally came out for the Super Famicom in Japan. Unlike other major JRPG series like Final Fantasy, battles in the Tales games use an action-based Linear Motion Battle System. They also feature an anime art style. The most recent entry in the series is 2021’s Tales of Arise, which Bandai Namco recently ported to the Switch 2.
The 30th anniversary Tales of t-shirts from Animate will come out in Japan on August 29, 2026. You’ll be able to find them in select Animate stores.
