How To Unlock Tatsunoko vs. Capcom’s Secret Characters

Recommended Videos

The four Wii exclusive characters: Hakushon Daimaou, Saki Omokane, Ippatsuman, and Viewtiful Joe aren’t available when you start Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. They aren’t normally found in the store either. So, how can you unlock them?

To put Saki in the store you have to beat arcade mode with a character from the Capcom side. Once Saki is in the store you can purchase her with 1,000 zenny. You get 800 zenny for finishing arcade mode and 200 zenny for testing two mini-games. Hakushon Daimaou arrives in the store after you beat the game with a Tatsunoko character such as Gold Lightan or Ken the Eagle. Like Saki, he costs 1,000 zenny which you can earn from by playing arcade mode again or shaking the remote in a few mini-games.

Hakushon Daimou is an amusing character to play with. The portly genie rushes enemies enemies with his gut and can suck them into a genie bottle if he’s close enough. If you leave Hakushon Daimou standing alone long enough he picks his nose.

Saki is the Cable of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. She has a quick fire laser blast. She throws grenades, but these don’t stun enemies. You have to charge Saki’s gun with a special move to fire a freeze orb. If you trap an enemy in one of these Saki can follow up with a laser blast or dash forward and use a super move to shoot a powerful 45-degree laser barrage.

To put Ippatsuman and Viewtiful Joe in the store you need to beat arcade mode with three Tatsunoko characters and three Capcom characters, respectively. These guys require more zenny to unlock so you might want to go the mini-game route to earn the missing zenny. Karas’ mini-game is about twenty seconds of waggling and you get 100 zenny each time you play it.
