Taito Planning More Xbox Live Arcade Remakes

In case you weren’t aware Taito has been resurrecting classic franchises with games like the Legend of Kage 2 and Space Invaders Extreme. Being less coy Taito formally announced plans to remake games for Xbox Live Arcade under the Taito Collection label. Arkanoid Live and Space Invaders Extreme are the first two Taito Collections project.

The Xbox Live Arcade version of Space Invaders Extreme is scheduled to come out this April and it looks a lot the PSP version. Here’s a trailer for Space Invaders Extreme on Xbox Live Arcade.

After these two games come out Taito will give more of their past projects the Xbox Live Arcade remake treatment. What games could get a digital remake? Elevator Action seems likely.
