Through his new company Comcept, Keiji Inafune has been working on a Nintendo 3DS game titled King of Pirates and Marvelous AQL is publishing it.

King of Pirates is a seafaring adventure story inspired by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms saga. The game stars animals – penguins, monkeys, eagles, and dragons – which personify characters like Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei.
Inafune is planning King of Pirates as a trilogy with over 300 characters. The first game is slated for release in 2012.
