Marvelous recently celebrated the upcoming release of Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson with a special stream to show off more of the game. Here’s a look at some of the action and costume parts they showed during the event.
After starting a new save, they start off the game, where you can catch the first bit of action at the 7:45 mark with Asuka. The next stage at 12:30 features Ikaruga, who also takes on a bunch of small-fry enemies, but it doesn’t take long until she encounters Yomi for an actual challenge.
At 28:10, you can check out Asuka fighting one of the giant wraith monsters known as Orochi. You can read more about these huge enemies in our earlier report. Skip forward to 36:55 for some Tag Battle action featuring Hikage and Yomi.
We get to see some more pair action battle at 41:36 featuring Mirai and Haruka. Mirai fights with a rather unique style using her Gatling Gun and grenades. The two then encounter the duo of Hikage and Yomi for a 2v2 battle to finish off the action bit of the video.
After showing off the graphics and action parts of Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, Takaki and friends showed off some of the costume parts. They start out with Yomi to check out her different costumes, including the attire from other characters.
All the costumes can also be worn in battle, along with the different hairstyles they show at 4:08. Like the costumes, you can also try hairstyles from different characters, as well. At the 4:50 mark, they show off some of the swimsuits for our busty ninjas.
There are swimsuits that you can pick for having them wear under their school uniforms, and another slot that’s for what they wear under their ninja gear. We get a look at all kinds of accessories and customizations at the 6:10 mark, through the accessory settings menu.
Next, at 10:35 Marvelous highlight some different poses, starting with facial expressions, followed by poses. When asked what kind of pose that girl is supposed to be doing at 14:50, Takaki said that she’s “dodging bullets”, like in The Matrix. You can also throw in other characters in the mix for taking screenshots.
Finally, at the 18:10 mark, they show off a bit of the AR feature that lets you bring the girls to life using the Nintendo 3DS camera.
Last but not least, above is a look at what appears to be a new character. While we don’t know if this mysterious girl in the sailor outfit is a friend or foe, we’ll likely find out more in the near future.
