Instead of making the usual Xtreme Legends and Empires versions, Koei Tecmo Games has something else planned for Samurai Warriors 4. Samurai Warriors 4-II isn’t exactly a sequel, but another take on Samurai Warriors 4. Famitsu explains players will be able to select the warlord they want at the center of the story and events may change depending on which character you choose. Ii Naomasa is confirmed as one of the new characters in Samurai Warriors 4-II.
Samurai Warriors 4-II adds Dream Castle mode from Samurai Warriors Chronicle 3, a Vita and 3DS spinoff. The Dream Castle mode will have new areas. Series producer Hisashi Koinuma says warlords will be able to learn skills from other characters using a Tactics Manual item. Players will also be able to strengthen and synthesize weapons from unneeded weapons.
Samurai Warriors 4-II is slated for release on February 11, 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4.
