Project X Zone 2 Just Got More Badass With A Playable Segata Sanshiro

Recommended Videos

Segata Sanshiro was the face that advertised the Sega Saturn in Japan back in the ‘90s, and he’ll be a playable character in Project X Zone 2. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine shares more on what’s new. [Thanks, Hachima.]

For those of you wondering, Segata Sanshiro was protrayed by actor Hiroshi Fujioka, best known for playing the hero Takeshi Hongo, the face of Kamen Rider 1.

As for Sega’s fictional character Segata Sanshiro, while the Sega Saturn wasn’t around that long, those who grew up playing around then now see him as a nostalgic figure in Japan. Segata Sanshiro is a dan holder for multiple Japanese martial arts (see: complete badass).

In addition to Segata Sanshiro, Project X Zone 2 adds Captain Commando from Captain Commando, June Lin Milliam from Star Gladiator, and Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series.

Project X Zone 2 will release in Japan on November 12, 2015 for Nintendo 3DS.
