Nintendo has announced the first game cross-over with Miitomo. Residents of North America, Europe, and Japan using the social networking app will be able to get Splatoon avatar items starting April 27, 2016. People wearing the clothing items will look like Inkling boys and girls.
You can get the Splatoon items via My Nintendo, the Miitomo Shop, and Miitomo Drop. My Nintendo Platinum Points can be redeemed fro an ink tank with pink, aqua, purple, yellow, blue, or orange ink in it. The Miitomo Shop will have Splatoon pins in six different colors. The Miitomo Drop Splatoon stages will have Inkling boy and girl wigs, shirts, shorts, and sneakers.
There is also a Miitomo Splatoon retweet event running on Twitter from now until April 26, 2016. The North American, European, and Japanese accounts all have a message with the #Miitomo_Splatoon_RT hashtag. If the messages on all three accounts get over 10,000 total retweets, every Miitomo user who logs in between April 27 and May 29, 2016, will get a Inkling boy wig in their gift box. If there are over 20,000 retweets, an Inkling girl wig will be given away too.
The Splatoon items will be available in Miitomo until May 29, 2016. Miitomo is immediately available for Apple iOS and Android devices.
