Metroid II Fan Remake Project AM2R Releasing Soon

After years of hard work, AM2R, the Metroid II: Return of Samus fan remake, will be releasing within a month, launching on August 6.

A countdown has appeared on the site, teasing it is in “The Last Stretch”, saying “I know we’ll make it in time. See you then.”

Project AM2R recreates Game Boy title Metroid II using Metroid: Zero Mission-style gameplay and visuals. It also adds new mechanics, updates enemy AI for smarter foes, and gives players a map, a log system, and a beam system that can stack weapon effects.
