Koei Tecmo announced in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit, and newer edition of Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit will feature officers from past titles in addition to over 100 new officers. It’ll also feature improved graphics for the faces of current officers.

There are three main features for the enhanced version of the game:

  • Fame: Unlocked through accomplishments, it’ll show titles and the way of life for the officers. With fame, you’ll get to acquire new characteristics and actions.

  • War Council: A new feature that allows for war councils to take place before going into battle. This is where the general can choose a staff officer and officer strategies.

  • Battlefield Expansion: All the battlefields increase in size by four times. This feature adds more routes, making it possible to set up more surprise attacks and other strategic elements. Additionally, tactics bases are also being added to maps, which allow for powerful strategies upon capture. Again, the points that were villages are being powered up as “Strategic Points,” and will be more important in terms of strategy.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII with Power-Up Kit releases in Japan in Winter 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.
