Blizzard celebrates the Year of the Rooster with Overwatch’s Lunar New Year seasonal event, featuring over 100 cosmetic items and a capture the flag brawl mode on a festive Lijiang Tower map.
Similar to past seasonal events, the Loot Boxes are replaced with Lunar Loot Boxes, where you’ll get skins such as the Palanquin D.Va and Wukong Winston.
And like previous events, the Lunar Loot Boxes can be earned or purchased, and each will contain at least one item from the Year of the Rooster collection, including skins, emotes, player icons, sprays, and victory poses.
Capture the Rooster
Capture the Rooster is the brawl for the seasonal event, where we’ll get to see an Overwatch take on the competitive gaming staple, Capture the Flag. In this mode, teams face off on Lijiang Tower, where teams will need to get creative with heroes to bring in a mix of offensive speed and defensive stability.
Overwatch’s Year of the Rooster seasonal event is live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
