Kingdoms Clash Over Warring Gods In Fire Emblem Echoes’ “Battle” Trailer

Nintendo released the newest trailer for their upcoming 3DS strategy RPG, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, with a focus on the game’s battle gameplay and scenes.

Fire Emblem Echoes retains more of a traditional gameplay style from the series but also gives you the option to choose between “Classic Mode” that has its characteristics perma-deaths, as well as a “Casual Mode” for players that are new to the series and don’t want to worry about permanently losing party members.

There’s also a new “Mila’s Gear” system that lets you rewind time in battle when things don’t work out as expected, but it does have limited uses so you’ll want to use it sparingly.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia releases in Japan on April 20 and globally on May 19, 2017 for Nintendo 3DS. Check out our previous report for a look at the game’s “Two Armies” trailer.
