Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will receive a day-one update that will add an event theater to watch previous story events and other tweaks to the game balance. They also detailed the first pack of content which is part of the Expansion Pass, and what will be coming later as well.

The first expansion pack will give players who bought the pass extra gold and items to help them through their journey. In January 2018, extra quests for the main game will be added, and this will be followed by new Rare Blades in Spring 2018. Summer 2018 brings a Challenge Battle Mode, and finally, a new original story scenario will be added in Fall 2018.

Xenoblade 2 will be released tomorrow, on December 1, 2017 for Nintendo Switch. The Expansion Pass will be available for purchase as well for an extra $30.
