First announced as Fantasy Life 2 in 2015, Level-5 originally planned to release Fantasy Life Online in 2016. It was then pushed to Spring 2017 then a general 2017 release window. Then it was delayed to Spring 2018, and now Summer 2018.
According to Level-5, the delay from Spring 2018 to Summer 2018 had to be done in order to give the game an overall quality improvement before launching, so the developers had to delay it by a few more months. They apologize, again, for any troubles they may have caused as a result, and will share more information for its release in the near future.

Fantasy Life Online will release in Japan in Summer 2018 for iOS and Android.
