Dragon Ball FighterZ Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders Are The Only Way To Get Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden Digitally

When it came to pre-order promotions for the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Bandai Namco decided to do something unexpected. In Japan, Europe, and North America, it comes with a copy of the Super Famicom game Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden. It turns out, this will be the only way to get this particular download for the Nintendo Switch. (Thanks, Nintendo Everything!)

Bandai Namco confirmed that pre-ordering Dragon Ball FighterZ will be the only way to get Dragon Ball Z Super Butoden. As a reminder, the download is the full version of that Super Famicom fighting game and is in Japanese.

This is not the first time Bandai Namco has provided such an incentive, then left it as an exclusive. Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden for the Nintendo 3DS had a similar promotion. People who pre-ordered the game from Amazon would receive a Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console copy of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden 2, another Super Famicom Dragon Ball fighting game. It also was never released outside of the pre-order offer.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will come to the Nintendo Switch on September 28, 2018. Pre-ordering it also gets people two exclusive avatars, three stamps, early access to SSGSS Goku, and early access to SSGSS Vegeta. It is immediately available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
