Recommended Videos

While we won’t get the new Sakura Wars game in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2019, Sega’s Yakuza series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi shared good news in the latest Sega Nama broadcast. [Thanks, Gamestalk.]

According to Nagoshi, development on the new Sakura Wars game is going favorably, and it shouldn’t be long until Sega has something to announce. “They’re really fired up. It gets me going too” said Nagoshi, who also added that its quality is “surprisingly good.”

The new Sakura Wars game is in development for “modern platforms” and is set in the year Taisho 29 (1940).
