To commemorate the end of the Splatoon Koshien tournament held at Niconico Tokaigi 2019 in Japan, Nintendo announced that ten ‘Sheldon’s Picks’ weapons that were added towards the end of Splatoon on Wii U will be returning in Splatoon 2. Furthermore, a new demo event for the game is coming this March.
The returning Sheldon’s Picks brand of weapons cover main weapons which didn’t receive a new version this time in the form of the Kensa Collection. Here are the included weapons below:
- Heavy Splatling Remix
- Sploosh-o-matic 7
- Fresh Squiffer
- Cherry H-3 Nozzlenose
- N-ZAP ‘83
- Soda Slosher
- Aerospray PG
- Bamboozler 14 Mk III
- Permanent Inkbrush
- Grim Range Blaster
The Japanese Twitter account for the Splatoon series also notes that apart from returning Sheldon’s Picks weapons, there is a bit more planned content, with no details or a release window given.
Special Demo
From March 26 – April 1, 2019, there will be a special demo available that lets you play Splatoon 2 for free for a week. This includes not only Turf Wars, but also Ranked Matches and Salmon Run as well. Save data from this demo can be carried over to the full game, and demo players can be matched up against players of the full game.
Splatoon 2 is available for Nintendo Switch.
