While we’ve had the Nintendo New York shop in the US since 2005, Nintendo announced that it is opening the very first official Nintendo shop in Japan with “Nintendo Tokyo” this fall.
The company’s goal is to make Nintendo Tokyo a new point of contact between fans and Nintendo that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, regardless of age, gender, or experience with games.
In addition to products such as video game software, hardware, and character merchandise, Nintendo plans to host events and opportunities to play games.
The Nintendo Tokyo shop is scheduled to open in Shibuya Parco in Fall 2019. More details will be announced on a later date.
