Resident Evil 2 The Ghost Survivors DLC Will Behave Like The 4th Survivor And The Tofu Survivor

The Resident Evil 2 The Ghost Survivors DLC will be released for free on February 15, 2019, and Capcom has offered a summary going over what people can expect via the PlayStation Blog. It turns out these three extra stories will behave somewhat similarly to The 4th Survivor and The Tofu Survivor, giving more people a chance to escape Raccoon City.

The three characters in The Ghost Survivors DLC each were referenced or seen in various ways during Claire and Leon’s storylines in Resident Evil 2. Each story in the add-on is an alternate telling that provides a glimpse of hope. Forgotten Soldier follows another Umbrella Security Service member like Hunk. Ghost’s entire squad was killed, but he’s got a chance to find his way out of the lab. His new sort of zombie wears armor. No Time to Mourn has Gun Shop Kendo’s Robert Kendo getting a chance to head to a friend’s helicopter, using weapons from his store that he grabbed and evading a new, poisonous zombie along the way. Runaway follows Katherine Warren, the mayor’s daughter, as she tries to run away from another new kind of zombie. This one can supposedly only be killed with one type of weapon.

All of The Ghost Survivor DLC stories will have their own challenges, trophies, and difficulty levels. Standard and an easier Training level will be available. Characters have equipment they start with, but can also find extra items as they play by defeating zombies with backpacks or checking vending machines. Vending machine items have a caveat to them, though. As the PlayStation Blog noted, “Choose carefully, though; once you take an item from a vending machine, you’re locked out of the other two items for that run!”
