As far as staff goes, Takashi Tokita has taken on the role of creative producer of Oninaki. The director is Atsushi Hashimoto who previously directed I Am Setsuna and Lost Sphear, two games that were also written by Hirotaka Inaba who will be writing the scenario for Oninaki.

The creators teased in the magazine interview that it will be a shocking game as far as story goes, and for gameplay it has developers that have worked on action RPGs. They call it “an action RPG but also a scenario action RPG,” basically meaning it’s an action RPG but with more focus on the story elements.

As for the title logo, it is being designed by veteran animator and character designer Tomonori Kogawa.

Oninaki releases in Summer 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
