ESRB Issue Results In Temporary Deltarune Delisting In The North American eShop

Deltarune, the free first chapter of a new game from the creator of Undertale, made its Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 debut on February 28, 2019. People were able to grab the two-to-three hour adventure and see both new an variations of familiar faces. However, in North America, an ESRB issue has resulted in it temporarily being pulled from the eShop.

The official Deltarune and Undertale Twitter account announced the temporary delisting. It noted that the removal is a rating issue and is in the process of being fixed. There is no date for its return just yet, but Nintendo of America has been contacted.

Here is the official tweet.

This has not affected the worldwide release of Deltarune, as it is still available on the eShop in other regions. Also, if someone already grabbed the game ahead of its temporary removal, they can still get and play it without any issue.

As a reminder, Deltarune follows a new hero who looks like Undertale‘s protagonist, their classmate Susie, and their friend Ralsei as they attempt to fight a troublemaker in another world, then return to their own rightful one. It features a Final Fantasy-style turn-based battle system, though the art direction and humor remain the same as the previous game.

Deltarune is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC.
