Crypt Of The Necrodancer And The Legend Of Zelda Are Pairing Up For Cadence Of Hyrule

A Crypt of the Necrodancer spin-off with The Legend of Zelda flavor has been announced as part of the Spring 2019 Nindies Showcase. Nintendo, Brace Yourself Games, and Spike Chunsoft are preparing an action-RPG starring The Legend of Zelda‘s Link and Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer‘s Cadence called Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer.

In Cadence of Hyrule, players will fight familiar enemies around Hyrule. The initial trailer suggests it will have the same sort of gameplay as Crypt of the Necrodancer, with people keeping to the beat to attack, move, and explore the world and its dungeons. The first footage shows the shopkeeper from Crypt of the Necrodancer, as well as segments that have Cadence, Link, and Zelda fighting. Cadence has her shovel, Link is shown using his sword and arrows, and we see Zelda using a sword, spear, and magic. 25 remixed The Legend of Zelda tracks will appear in it.

Here is footage of Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer from the Nindies Showcase. It begins at the 24:16 mark.

Cadence of Hyrule will come to the Nintendo Switch in Spring 2019.
