A new Darksiders game has been announced, and it will give people a chance to play as the fourth horseman, Strife. Darksiders Genesis will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia in 2019. (Thanks, IGN!)
Darksiders Genesis will be an action-RPG, however this time it will be a top-down affair along the lines of the Diablo series. Players are tasked with defeating Lucifer and his minions, as Lucifer is taking actions that are upsetting the Balance. This means people need to fight through different areas to defeat any enemies that would threaten their mission. The first trailer shows Strife fighting alongside War as they tackle hordes of opponents.
Here is the first Darksiders Genesis trailer. It begins with an introduction to Strife as he meets with a demon he is about to defeat, before spending the rest of the time showing off gameplay.
Darksiders Genesis is in development for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. As a reminder, Darksiders starred War, Darksiders II starred Death, and Darksiders III starred Fury.
